ASIAN AMERICAN WRITERS PANEL DISCUSSION AND NETWORKING MIXER

The WGAW Asian American Writers Committee, which includes Asian American and South Asian American writers, invites you to attend a panel discussion and networking mixer with mid- to high-level television writers of Asian heritage. Panelists include writing team Leo Chu & Eric S. Garcia (Supah Ninjas), Sameer Asad Gardezi (Outsourced, Modern Family), Bryan Oh (Happy Town, Vampire Diaries), and Vera Santamaria (Outsourced), who will discuss their starts in the industry and how they have managed to sustain active careers. Discussion will also encompass issues writers may have encountered as Asian Americans, and how to create Asian American characters for mainstream television. Dinner will be served.
