It sticks you inside the huge, scary, beautiful diversity of the wilderness, animals just doing whatever they're doing because...they're animals. It's one of the few animated movies which has made me feel like the characters are in actual danger – and also that fighting for one's life is a normal, expected activity in the world of the movie. It's not edgy or dark, it just is. Like nature just is.
